DAY 2. MARANGU ROUTE
Meet your Climbing Guides and Porters. Prepare Packs and team review. Hike from Marangu Gate up to Mandara Hut (4-5 hours) Take a short walk to Maundi Crater to see the Peaks. Then back down for dinner and sleep. The vegetation will begin to change as we enter the next climate and vegetation zone; the alpine heather and moorlands.

DAY 3.BEARDED FOREST
Ascend again to Horombo. (6 hours) Kibo, the main peak of Kilimanjaro and Mawenzi, the second peak can both be spotted here in good weather. Giant Senecios & Lobelias trees are spotted at this altitude.

DAY 4 MAWENZI ZEBRA ROCK FOR ACCLIMATIZATION
Hike from Horombo to Mawenzi Zebra Rock, to 4000 meters and back down to adjust to the dramatic changes in altitude and environment. Drinking plenty of water is essential now. Return to Horumbo Camp.

DAY 5. ALPINE DESERT
Ascend to Kibo camp through semi-arid desert (6-7 hours) Walk the plains between the 2 peaks of Mt Kilimanjaro; Kibo and Mawenzi. The only living things left here are hardy grasses and occasional everlasting flowers. Guides will debrief on proper sleep attire for the new altitude.
Kibo Camp 4703 meters | 15, 430 feet
DAY 6. UHURU PEAK
At Midnight begin the final trek toward the summit, 5 hours walk to Kibo Peak 4703m | 15, 430’, then up to Gilman's Point 5655m | 18, 550’ Finally from Gilman's Point to Uhuru Peak (5895m | 19,340’) for approx 2 hours. Arrive at the top in time to receive your reward; the magnificent sunrise at 19,000+ feet. Revel in your great accomplishment. Slowly descend throughout the day until we reach Horombo camp for dinner, great stories and reflections.

DAY 7. MARANGU GATE
Reach the Gate to receive your Kilimanjaro Summit Certificate from the National Parks Association and Black Panther Safaris. Load the Safari Vehicle and drive through the bustling streets of Moshi and Arusha. Stop for a walk about time allowing. Welcome drinks at the lodge.

DAY 8. ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK
Game Drive through the beautiful Arusha National Park to
witness the rare black & white Colobus monkeys, large families of Baboons, Great & Lesser Flamingos, and the largest land mammals on earth, the African Elephant. Farewell dinner.
DAY 9. TRANSFER TO KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Breakfast and Coffee Plantation Tour. Last minute shopping or relaxation at the pool. Optional Excursion: Quad Bikes Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
